About the Sequoias Adult Education Consortium
The Sequoias Adult Education Consortium (SAEC) unites ten school districts and the College of the Sequoias to expand opportunity for adults across California’s Central Valley. Our region, stretching through Tulare and Kings Counties, is known as the “breadbasket of the nation,” a place where hard work and resilience define daily life. SAEC exists to ensure that the same spirit of perseverance fuels new pathways for learning, employment, and community advancement.

Who We Serve
Every year, SAEC member districts serve more than 10,000 adults across a vast network of cities and rural communities, including Alpaugh, Corcoran, Cutler-Orosi, Exeter, Farmersville, Hanford, Lindsay, Tulare, Visalia, Woodlake, and many surrounding areas. Our classrooms welcome adults from every background—those improving their English, completing high school, learning a trade, or building the digital and workplace skills that today’s employers demand.
Our students include working parents, career changers, the unemployed, the underemployed, veterans, returning citizens, and those rebuilding their lives after hardship. Many come from multilingual, multigenerational households and bring extraordinary determination and talent. SAEC’s goal is simple: remove barriers and open doors to education, training, and meaningful employment.
