Carmen Becerra is a graduate of Redwood High School and a first-generation college student. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California, Merced and brings experience supporting students and families both in and out of the classroom, along with a strong background in public speaking, community advocacy, and service to underserved populations. Carmen’s work is rooted in student support and community connection. She has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to Student Supportive Services with the Sequoias Adult Education Consortium, where she plays a key role in helping adult learners navigate their educational journeys. She is passionate about empowering students to achieve their goals—whether earning a diploma, learning English, advancing in their careers, or accessing community resources. Carmen is committed to strengthening the communities she serves and supporting every learner’s path to success. ______ Carmen Becerra es graduada de Redwood High School y es estudiante universitaria de primera generación. Obtuvo su Licenciatura en Psicología en la Universidad de California, Merced, y cuenta con experiencia apoyando a estudiantes y familias tanto dentro como fuera de la escuela, además de una sólida trayectoria en oratoria, activismo comunitario y servicio a poblaciones desfavorecidas. Maribel Delgado is a native of Visalia and a dedicated leader in community outreach and education with over a decade of experience. She earned her Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies from College of the Sequoias and has built her career around advocacy, access, and lifelong learning. Maribel brings a broad range of experience across the educational spectrum. She began her career as an early childhood aide and later served as a migrant education recruiter, developing a strong, student-centered approach and deep connections within the communities she serves. In her work with adult education, Maribel excels at building partnerships and connecting organizations and families across Tulare and Kings Counties. She is passionate about empowering individuals and is committed to helping students achieve their goals, from college transitions to career advancement. ______ Maribel Delgado es originaria de Visalia, California, y es una líder dedicada en el ámbito de la divulgación comunitaria y la educación, con más de una década de experiencia. Obtuvo su Título de Asociado en Artes en Estudios Liberales en el College of the Sequoias y ha construido su carrera en torno a la defensa, el acceso y el aprendizaje continuo. Maribel aporta una amplia experiencia a lo largo del espectro educativo. Inició su carrera como asistente en educación infantil temprana y posteriormente se desempeñó como reclutadora de educación migrante, desarrollando un enfoque centrado en el estudiante y estableciendo conexiones profundas con las comunidades a las que sirve. En su trabajo en educación para adultos, Maribel se destaca por crear alianzas y conectar organizaciones y familias en los condados de Tulare y Kings. Evette Lopez is a dedicated education professional with a strong commitment to student success, community engagement, and expanding access to educational opportunities. She earned her Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies from College of the Sequoias and brings more than two decades of experience supporting students and families through her work with the Tulare County Office of Education and Visalia Unified School District. Evette’s career has focused on outreach, family engagement, and student support services. In her role as an Adult Education Navigator with the Sequoias Adult Education Consortium, she collaborates with educators and community partners to connect adult learners with educational opportunities, career pathways, and essential resources. She is passionate about empowering individuals and expanding access to lifelong learning. Evette is committed to helping students achieve their goals and ensuring they have the support needed to succeed. ______ Evette Lopez es una profesional de la educación dedicada, con un fuerte compromiso con el éxito estudiantil, la participación comunitaria y la ampliación del acceso a oportunidades educativas.
